We may be certain that whatever God has made prominent in his Word, He intended to be conspicuous in our lives. If He has said much about prayer, it is because He knows we have much need of it. So deep are our necessities, that until we are in heaven we must not cease to pray. Do you want nothing? Then, I fear you do not know your poverty. Have you no mercy to ask of God? Then, may the Lord’s mercy show you your misery! A prayerless soul is a Christless soul. If you are a child of God, you will seek your Father’s face, and live in your Father’s love. Pray that this year thou may be holy, humble, zealous, and patient; have closer communion with Christ, and enter more often into the banqueting-house of His love. Pray that you may be an example and a blessing unto others, and that you may live more to the glory of thy Master. The motto for this year must be, “Continue in prayer.”

because i like walking in the kitchen the morning after and seeing the sunshine hitting the glassware

still up, praying for this sweet little baby. i dont know this family at all, but somehow two weeks ago came across her (the mom's) flickr.
and i can't imagine making decisions like this with my tiny baby, going through all of that... so scary, so heart-wrenching.

baby due

baby was due yesterday. baby is now overdue.
i'm working, working, working still. the other nurses at work are like "you haven't had that baby yet? you haven't had that baby yet?!"
lately i've had this nagging need to walk, walk, walk all the time. the only time i feel comfortable is walking around. once i stop i feel all miserable. sitting down it hurts. laying down it hurts. except now i somehow hurt my foot, so now it hurts to walk too.

i think i'll continue to try to write a little journal entry every so often, and im going to keep them on flickr, so if you have a flickr account, friend me! for some reason im not inspired to blog here too much right now

4th of july weekend with family/friends was great, but i still haven't recovered. we travelled a ton and barely slept and were as busy as bees
