wind storms

Our town didn't get hit very hard by the wind but everywhere else in Western WA they did. I always wonder how we get sustained Hurricane strength winds and yet they aren't called Hurricanes.

I was going to watch the news today so I could post a little bit more of exactly what's going on, besides that the power is out everywhere and there is no school for the children and trees are down on everyone's house... but there is no news on this morning. I must've hit the wrong time. The only thing on is PGA Gold, a Chevy Chase movie, and, which I think is my favorite:
Michael Bolton: Tribute on Ice.

I mean, that is genius. Michael Bolton songs, sung by big big stars like Wynona Judd (okay I'm being sarcastic) while the little ice skaters skate around on the rink. It's just Christmas all over. Triple axle! Sittin by the dock of the bay! Time and tenderness! Spiral and spin!

What can I say, I'm a sucker for ice skating.
