tea break - organic jasmine tea
toast (rye, oat, flax seed bread) with apple butter.
have you ever seen apple butter made? it's a great process. everytime i have apple butter i savor it and it makes me think of how long it takes to just make a little apple butter. i can smell the orchard and the fall leaves and the big steaming black iron kettle full of apples.
sunday mornings are so peaceful. i heard birds chirping in the backyard for the first time in months - that means Spring is coming! Spring is coming!!!
this is my favorite tea pot. my mom gave it to me, and it's from china, it was her old boss' when she worked in the chinese restaraunt. whenever she talks about that chinese couple her face lights up - she always mentions how lovely and caring they were, and how nice and simpatico. she has tons of funny stories about working there in chinatown (Seattle) with them, and now she knows how to cook cantonese food like a true chinese woman.
i think it is a beautiful tea pot. it's one of the more special things i own. which means someone will probably accidently drop it on the floor and break it someday. but then i'll glue it back together and put it on a shelf. cuz that's where things go that are special.
