California knows how-ta party. California, knows how ta partay. In the citayyy, the city of compton - Wooo. Woo. - keep it rockin, keep it rockin. Lemme hear ya c'mon!
I dunno if this is everywhere, but people I grew up with in the northwest LOVE that song. They're all like bonding with 2PAC music and like, oh, he lives, it's a conspiracy! he's not really dead! His music lives on! - etc. Then we all reminisce about that one time we went to L.A. (mostly to go to Magic Mountain or drive through on the way to somewhere else like San Diego or Mexico).
I don't know why I was writing about that but it was playing over the stereo. We set up my old PC to the TV, and our plasma TV makes like the biggest baddest monitor ever.
Josh hooked up 'Ol' Pokey' as I used to call it and installed some sort of something, memory something, blah blah, and now it works again. Nothing like, amazing speeds or processing, but it can hold my pictures and we didn't lose any music. Josh had his music stored on there and it was like all of his stuff and mp3s collected from his army buddies or friends and whatnots. Mostly pre-1999 but you might catch some more upadated tunes (doubtful anything from me since the last CD I purchased was like John Mayer's first album - oh wait no someone gave that to me. Make that Sandi Patti in fifth grade.)
Yah. A lot of music from Josh. The first one that came up on winamp to play was "2PAC - CALIFORNIA LOVE". Alphabetical order.
So rock out! Or hip hop out! Or whatever! We're cranking it up!
Mom don't look up the lyrics to that song okay?
P.S. I'm amazed scrolling through these songs how diverse Josh's collection of music is. He likes everything. And not just a little of everything, whole CDs and collections worth of everyhing! Obscure Christian "techno" and "rap" - Kenny G (like alll his CDs) - Oldies - Elvis - Foo Fighters - Indie - wow. Josh continues to surprise me.
