I think I understand a little bit of why they write "In Loving Memory" on the front of those bullitens you get at a memorial service.
Today is (was?) Keith's birthday. Josh and I both remembered without even talking about it to each other.
It's funny to me how he was such a huge part of our lives, especially this last year, here in our house, and then gone, just like that. Little things remain, the unopened bacardi silver on the bottom shelf, the pretzels at the bottom of the jar, the barbecue books on top of the stereo. But he's gone.
We went out to Mexican food today - the restaraunt we always eat at anyway, but also where his favorite cadillac margaritas are made. Also the place where I saw him last, our last meal together.
Josh had a margarita, but I was still on the clock, ha.
So, we celebrated a life we once knew, and today will be a good memory. It was in loving memory.
