currently

+ my husband is amazing. the past few months have been so crappy, i've been so sick, it was stressful not knowing if i had a job the next day or not, it was stressful sometimes not being able to go to the job i had because i was throwing up like 8 x a day, but he's been like, amazing. caring for me, helping me, holding me, driving me around... yah.i don't think i could say thank you enough.

+ i am officially off the lay off list at work right now... and have a 'new' (*coughexactlythesame*) position and new team to work with

+ i'm not throwing up as much. i can eat regular meals right now with the assistance of some anti-nausea meds.

+ my mom-in-law sent me cute baby booties in the mail

+ i felt baby flutters for the first time!

+ i was able to go with my handsome husband and favorite friends to california and have a wonderful time, and see more wonderful friends who live there. <3

+ i saw sunshine

- i came home to cold rain and wind

+ i opened a fun present with yuppie preggie pops in it that cheered me up

- it made me miss good friends

+ i went out to lunch with newer friends and teased a seagull...found out said new friends are really really really environmentalists/animal rights advocates

+ i teased the seagull more

+ i'm almost back up to my regular weight. 5 lbs to go. feeling less dizzy these days. weird thing is, i totally don't fit into my regular pants, because of a very obvious baby bump.

+ my coworker did an ultrasound on me so i could see my wittle baby

- baby was sneaky and hiding his/her gender

+ i really like my tea and teacups

+ now that i'm feeling better i want to start hanging out with my friends again

+ :-)

update

update!! update!! i'm updating!!

only because i'm stuck at home. inside. when it's so nice outside. sick. blah.

our whole nursing staff on our unit came down with some h1z1z3 flu that sucks and was highly contagious. so i have no clue who is there right now but probably no one who knows what's going on.

the ocean trip was fabulous by the way - one of the best vacations. actually i think that's the first real longer vacation we've taken since our honeymoon - that hasn't been related to christmas or family whatever holiday stuff.

my brain is fuzzy.

HOME.

I would very much like to go home now.

Oh good - I get to fly out tonight? Excellent.

We did lots of family dinners and things while we've been here. I met more uncles and aunts and cousins I hadn't met before.

I took pictures.

I packed.

Josh's little brother (who's 18 now so not so little) is flying home with us to stay for a week or so. I'm totally excited, it's going to be a lot of fun. I still have a few days off of work so we can do something fun! And we have friends coming into town this weekend, so that's going to be awesome too.

So, things to look forward to! What I'm not looking forward to is the flights and stopovers to get there...

six flags of fun

Today I went to six flags new england with Cass Mark Tess and ... oh wait that's it. It was the most adventerous thing I've ever done. Tess and I went on the scariest world award winningest roller coaster and I thought I was going to die but I didn't. Then we went on four or five other major roller coasters and I also thought I was going to die on those but that didn't happen either. It reminded me of when I went to Magic Mountain in LA except the roller coasters were 4 x better and bigger and faster here in new england and much more scary. Sorry, LA. And sorry James that you live in a lame city.

We also ate really bad tasting pizza and three dollar coca cola.

I am really happy to see my friends, I missed everyone so much.

Except I'm not happy to see Chaz anymore because he broke my favorite shoe. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I guess just walk around with a broken shoe.

Tomorrow is Drewbs bday so it's going to be a palooza. A 20 year olds palooza. With bacon.

Hmm what else, what else... hmmm... there are no patients here and no IV lines, no church deacons and no charting to do. My best nursey friend is here and we can eat saltines and sip Schweppes Ginger Ale and laugh and laugh and talk about how cruddy our jobs can be at times and how awesome our husbands are and how much we love life. Best vacation ever.

Hot Import Nights Car Showz - Maine Style

Some car shows have some pretty hott models.

I could show you pictures of our travels in historical Boston, the ancient wooden warships, the freedom trail, New York City, the statue of liberty, paloozas at the Drewb's birthday party, etc. But why? When I have pictures like this??

horse

brendan and yvette

I don't know why this never came up in junior high, but you know that game horse? We played it memorial day weekend, and first I was an H - not so bad - but then I was a "HO" and having your cousin shout, "Ha, you missed the basket, now you're a HO!" was just not pleasant.

After that it got worse, because then I was a "HOR". And I'm sure the neighbors heard that one.

Anyway, I'm pretty good at HORSE. And of course my parents got a nice basketball hoop AFTER I moved away.
